Due to ABK-Nets work upgrading the internet, there will be some downtime Monday the 18 of October and Monday the 25 of October. We are sorry for any inconveniences.

ABK-Net

Due to the power outage the internet is currently unavailable.

We are working as hard as we can to fix this and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will update this post as soon as we fix it.

UPDATE: The connection should now be back up for all residents.

The internet may operate in a degraded state, but we will be fixing it soon :)

Next Monday 3/5 between 7:30 pm and 9 pm (if everything goes according to plan), there will be interruptions in your internet connection as we, among other things, need to replace a malfunctioning fan in a switch in block 3.

We will try to minimize the downtime of the internet.

The internet at ABK is currently down.

This is because AAU is doing maintenance, from where we get our internet connection. We were not informed of this beforehand.

This means we cannot do anything before the maintenance is complete, and it is expected to take 1 to 1.5 hours.

Update (11:48):

The internet is now back!

ABK-Net board are the people who provide you and everyone else at ABK internet for 25 kr/month! To continue to deliver cheap internet we need new volunteers to help develop and maintain the network here at ABK. We are a group of volunteers from ABK who meet the first Tuesday every month to work on the network and website. Besides that we have nice workdays, with hacking, fun and free pizza. We have a good economy, which provides a good opportunity to be part of exciting projects. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask us at sysadm@abk-aalborg.dk!

Today, the new website went live! It will continuously be improved.

ABK-Net is a union that handles the internet of ABK Kollegium. The interests of the union are handled by its committee, which consists of residents from the dormitory. The daily operation is handled by the system administrators, who can be contacted if problems arise. This website is handled by the webmasters.
