Aalborg Carnival

Every year, Aalborg Karneval holds a large carnival which is the largest carnival in North Europe. Breakfast and Carnival ABK-Bar hosts a carnival event so that all residents of ABK and their friends can walk together in the Aalborg Carnival. The residents meet in the common house where breakfast is served, and the bar will be open. ABK-Bar is the “party committee” of ABK Aalborg, and is in charge of Friday bars and other social events, and is located in the common house. ABK-Net is a union that handles the internet of ABK Kollegium. The interests of the union are handled by its committee, which consists of residents from the dormitory. The daily operation is handled by the system administrators, who can be contacted if problems arise. This website is handled by the webmasters. Basement

The area below the common house, where you can find the Fitness room, the Solarium, and the Sauna. There is a table tennis table, which is free for all residents to use! Pick you favorite neighbor, and beat them in a round of ping pong. Or even better, invite the whole corridor down for a round the table. Borrowing Equipment

ABK offers a variety of equipment you can borrow. They are all free to borrow, but some require a deposit, which you will be given back once the equipment is returned. Tools Toolbox, drill, jigsaw, and eccentric grinder (Værktøjskasse, boremaskine, stiksav og excentersliber) is lent from the caretaker. Do not try to use your own impact drill (slagboremaskine), the walls are made of reinforced concrete - many drills can not handle this. [Read More]

Cable TV

When you move into the dormitory, you are free to sign up for any cable TV package of your choice. Note that you will be ordering and managing this yourself.

Remember to unsubscribe from the provider you chose when moving out of the dormitory.

Christmas Party

Each year, ABK hosts a Christmas party for the residents. The party starts with a Danish Christmas buffet were we all eat and drink together. Usually a lot of snaps is consumed throughout the party. Some years, a group of residents has “brewed” their own snaps, which is usually a huge hit! Later in the evening we will play the “parcel gift game” where we can win small funny gifts.
